• The child is shown to be a danger, either to himself or to others

• The child has been repeatedly disruptive during school and their parents failed to participate in disciplinary proceedings

• The child has been the victim of a sex offense

• The child was born with disorders brought on by the mother taking drugs or drinking alcohol during her pregnancy
